GETTING AROUND IN BANGKOK

PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Bangkok offers various types of public transport including the Bangkok Mass Transit System (BTS skytrain), Metropolitan Rapid Transit (MRT), Airport Rail Link (ARL), express boats, buses and taxis.
MRT
The MRT can take you to many tourist attractions including the Grand Palace, Museum Siam, China Town and more. It operates from 6:00 a.m. - midnight daily. The price of MRT is also based on the distance and starts at 15 THB. It also includes escalators and elevators for accessibility. Find more information about MRT routes and fares here.
ARL
The ARL railway line connects central Bangkok with Suvarnabhumi International Airport. The trains operate between 5:30 a.m. – midnight daily. Standard train fares range from 15 – 45 THB depending on the distance. Find more information about ARL routes and fares here(Note: This is a non-official site providing information about the ARL. Bus
Most buses in Bangkok run between 5:00 a.m. - 23:00 p.m. Getting around by bus in Bangkok offers you a local experience and different sceneries of Bangkok. The bus fares range from 8 - 32 THB depending on the distance. You can also look for a destination and track a bus schedule by using the ViaBus App . Find more information about buses here
Chao Phraya Express Boat Service
The Chao Phraya Express stops at both sides of the Chao Phraya river. It operates from 6.00 a.m. - 7.00 p.m. daily. You can also change to a BTS skytrain at Saphan Taksin BTS station. The fare starts at 15 THB. Find more information about Chao Phraya Express Boats here
Khlong Boats - Saen Saep Boat Service
Khlong Boats operate daily from 5:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. on weekdays and from 5:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. on weekends. With Khlong Boats, you can change to a BTS skytrain at Ratchathewi BTS station or MRT at Phetburi MRT station. The fares start at 9 THB. Find more information about Khlong Boats here.
Taxi
Metered taxis can normally be flagged from the side of the road. Fares are calculated based on distance, starting from a 35 THB minimum. The driver should turn on the meter as soon as you get into the taxi. You can also find and book a taxi via Taxi Apps such as Grab or Bolt

The dress code of APAC Digital Identity unConference is business casual to casual, and we want you to feel your best. Please feel free to wear what you are most comfortable in for a working event.
